Those Theories never work.....

I always remember as a reader Neo’s very first challenge to interpret the complexities of a Novel would be a “Parineeta” or a “ Emilie” or a “ Susanne and her Seven Husbands”! All these novels have couple of things common in between them! First being, they are thoroughly Female dominated and second would be the complex thread of relationships the Lead gets intertwined into! Not only these novels are mesmerizing in their own plots and sub plots but often they used to challenge the basic theories of relationships! And Neo would always be fascinated by the layering’s that they used to provide! A basic question used to raise in mind, are women in our society more vulnerable than their fellow counterparts! Or is there is any unwritten theory of relationships and love that we always tend to ignore under the contrived layerings!

As societal bindings are getting flexible and are often compromised upon now a days, we have different shades of relationships building up in the modern society! Be it Polygamy, or sheer infidelity, be it Gayism; or being a lesbian, there are ample examples that a lateral shift is happening in terms of understanding the relationships and the cultural theories that circulated them since ancient times. The question is to what level are the new relationships acceptable and is they not making our cultural hypocrites go awry to a large extent! Fascinating to discuss, isn’t it!


The answer, however, may be very simple and basic! The answer, infact, lies in the question itself! There is no cultural theory which can drive a human behavior! So, if I find polygamy to be in sync to my basic needs, I might always challenge the theories by getting engaged into the same! So the only morality in this quick world is to listen to own self and act accordingly. After all Love wouldn’t have been love if we would not have tried to make it happen! Isn’t it! Neo finally, can sit in his couch and relax, and can say, don’t be too serious about relationships! Just go with the Flow!
