I, as a writer, has always tried to connect with people who read me. So if there is a single person who liked one single post of me, i feel happy and enriched to share my memories. But time has rather flown by in a whisker. Previously i was an uncaged, free bird with independent thoughts and blunt wisdom to do good. Now as age is taking over, situations took over, i have become something else. I can tell you for a start, i am not at all cheesy anymore. So when i look back at my old write ups, i dont see the old me, in mirror.Thats the reason, perhaps, i have not written anything for the past two years. Well i hope as a reader, you read and understan the difference of me as a person, in a matter of two years. Time changes, so did neo, cliched but true!

HER PERFECT SONG.......A NEO POETRY
"I saw her singing in that chilly night,
her dove eyes made her a beautiful sight,
As i crossed her, i found her only giving me the right ride,
We kissed, We hugged and we rounded each other on a love flight, And suddenly she left, giving my dreams a horrific delight,
As I again walk, again my lonely walk knows i am missing her allright,
She still looks at me with her dove eyes on every moonlite lonely night"

A WALK TO REMEMBER....
THE DISTRACTION
“The trouble is, as a writer sometimes there is no point to prove, but we still write to prove a point”, I shyly said! It was kind of ominous that I finish my lecture in here, given the fact that I was not sure what I was saying , and then secondly, a lecture on ‘Passion for writing’ somehow never clicks with the teens and I got my 1st signal when a specs wearing geek kind of boy sitting in a 1st row yawned! “Keep on writing friends, keep on exploring your ideas, thank you” I said, and the claps did indicate its bag pack time! “A rainy day never quite helps the cause Neo, but I am so happy you participated in my work shop” said preeti, running around from the south west side of the Hall and hugging around! “Anything for you”, I smilingly said!
“Come around, lets walk”, she said! “ah, now its rainy and dark” I immediately reverted! “cummon, this is going to be fun and besides the fact that you are my soul mate now and we are getting married in three weeks gives me a little bit of liberty to demand for these moments now, let’s walk please”, preeti insisted! “ but, preeti, you know, I have a bad history of nausea and tonsillitis and besides……”, before I could even finish she gave me such a look, I instantly reverted,” let’s move”!
THE MORAL DEBATE
“Epic, she is not saying anything now”, I said to me, as we crossed some school kids enjoying the rain, I looked at her, head down, she did hold my hands tightly and even tighter was her face! “wait”, I said, she looked at me and said slowly “ what”! I said “just a second” and I crossed the road, went to the roadside florist shop and purchased some Red roses and came back, “ This is for you preeti, just saw that road side florist shop, you might not have noticed”. She took the bouquet and smilingly said” I did noticed that Neo” and pushed me, breaking the ice.
“Let’s sit somewhere” I asked her, as we heard two clouds colliding with a very sound, and reacted in unison! “Well, we are getting drenched now” she said, cuddling my hairs! I smilingly replied “As if it is the first time”! She said, “Than I have a perfect place five minutes walking, let’s move”, she replied!
The nicest thing about Bangalore is the number of parks it has! Every two streets is finished by a park, big parks for couples and oldies to spend quality time Preeti took me into one, and it was not only nice but the best part is it did have small small tomb like structures under which, though one can’t fully escape a thunderstorm , but for the basic Bangalore rain, just perfect. There was a silence in the surrounding as we sat in one tomb, rain ment that there were virtually any crowd around, and with every thunderstorm roaring in, we knew a thunderstorm was ready to greet us.
“What is it preeti” I slowly whispered, holding her hands as we looked at each other again. “ Why are you marrying me Neo” , she almost asked effortlessly. I smiled at her and said, “Why do you want an answer preeti”. She said in a firm voice, “ you must answer me, it matters to me, stop behaving like a cheesy boy friend for a moment please!” “ Okay, let’s do it in the mature way , I shall and will definitely answer your question, but I have a question for you”, I firmly looked at her, as another lightning groaned in between us and thunderstorm now drenching us. “ Ask “! She replied!!
“Are you anxious preeti”? I asked! “What kind of question is this, anyone will be anxious before his/her marriage Neo”, she replied.” Correcto i am amending the question, are you anxious about us in the since we are kind of marrying without the families consent and you might not be sure about me as yet” I asked direct. “Hmmm, it’s not about surety, but yes these things do matter”, she said. “ Right you are, and it’s the same anxiety with me preeti” I said her. “Then, what’s the way ahead” preeti asked slowly.
“It Depends on the fact that how much of our lives we can leave to chance” I firmly answered. “Means what Neo” Preeti said. “Preeti, at the end of the day, we have a choice about everything, you know for a change, I was named with many during my college days, but I believe in us, I believe that together both you and me can make a great team and cherish each other, and I firmly stood by my point and that’s why I wanna marry you”, I said. “Hmm, Neo so love took a backseat is it”! Preeti asked! “ Love is the basis for everything we stand for , our 1st meet, our belongingness but matter of hearts must be within the heart, its our decisions at the end of the day which will take us ahead preeti, love dies after a moment if we can’t stick together but decisions don’t, they define us preeti, and they have defined u and me”, I said. “I agree Neo, every word of u but……”,I stopped her and said, “ Than just walk with me, we have enough love to walk all the day, you just need to walk with me”.
THAT WALK THAN........
“And I am Neo, I am “ , she smiled and hugged me in between the rains! “ Ready for the walk of life eh, or still anxious “I laughed and asked! “Only if you walk with me without stopping to my PG”, she laughed and said. “ That’s a no brainer, with great power comes great responsibility” I said, as we again started walking. “ Stop being cynical” She said as I saw her walking up the stairs of her PG with the Roses in her hand. “ Oye, it was a dialogue from Spiderman, remember Peter Parker”! I screamed and left the building.
That Night I remembered her last text as I slept in peace, “ Welcome to the glory, Mr.committed”. Hmm, it sounded like Mr. India, though I knew I am ready for the new phase of life! It’s a weird feel but better be this way!!!

ANOTHER OF THOSE LOVE STORIES
THE BED ROOM POSTURE:
“Well love comes and goes Neo”, she said, seeing the” Medieval Horses” painting on the wall of my bed room! “It never stays beyond a reason” she confirmed! “ May be, or may not be, depends on the couples mood and need I guess”, I smilingly replied. “You have been a little bit of an Oxymoron always, do you know that”, she came nearer and kissed! “Well, at this moment, I can say, I am getting better in returning stuffs”, we smooched back!
Mid of a sweet chilly November, and my last few days in the city of Joy, and a Diwali tomorrow sets just the perfect mood for a sultry evening with my lovely lady of dreams.
“ How can you be so happy within yourselves Neo, I have never seen a guy who is so plastic about love himself but gives moral lectures about love” She continued. “ eh, why you do you all woman make such an hue and cry about being in love and all as if we are in kinder gardens still, can I have a peg of Vodka with a little bit of lemon and about five ice cubes” I smilingly replied
THE CONFLICT
:“Neo, I know, you have got an emotional range of that off a tea spoon”, she laughed! But what’s the moral of our story than” she affirmed, “I mean, we have met two months back, as of today, I am in your bed enjoying our moments, and I know, you will leave me and my city of joy in ten days, and there is a good probability we will never meet again, than what are we doing rather”.
THE CONFIRMATION:
“So, Neo, we don’t have a story than” she looked at me and sadly said. “ I never said that senorita, we have our own love story which is praise worthy” I replied. “an escapist one” she smilingly said. “Nah,not escapist, hell no, one look at my eyes and you know that I love you isn’t it, what else do you want or need”, I kissed her forehead and said. “ What about fulfillment of our relationship” She said. “Ask your husband if he can divorce you” I said smilingly, because, technically and legally we can’t be together otherwise! “Umm, I will definitely think about that tomorrow, as of now I just want to just see the moon reflecting through your window” she whispered in my ears. “Anything else”! I whispered back. “O yeah Neo, Want to melt in you”, she whispered again! “ In that case, there is a good need for another peg of Vodka” I said and we laughed in unison.
As the moonlight faded, as it became more like dawn, I felt like she was whispering some lines in my ears:
“Tere jhoothe kasme vaadon se
Tere jalte sulagte khwabon se
Teri be-raham duaaon se
Nafrat karunga main
Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan”

DOWN THOSE MEMORY LANES ....
SOMETIMES I SPEAK AS I SPEAK TO ME :
Over the years, when I look back at my body of work when it comes to writing, I see myself trying to do a balancing act between politeness and chaos! I started writing peppy and cheesy stuffs following the dichotomies of the Bhagat’s and the Sharma’s, than as I progressed, as I grew, as my periphery, my thoughts grew, I saw myself writing rather serious stuffs with a tinge of politeness and objectivity. Now as I realize that you, my tiny but very soulful audience, are also growing in age, in symbol, in status and in thought process, It’s high time that I, Neo, should unfold those pages of my life which not only influences my writing but also gives an insight about the thought process I mentally and strategically follow to lead a simple, uncompromising life!
So before I take you down my scrapbook of memories, it is imperative that I declare my selves at 27 today, an age which is highly symbolic, highly representative yet very vulnerable!
Well At an age of 27, as a person, there are too much introspection and speculations surrounded me, my entire hemisphere. At 27, my family wishes me to get settled, my friends are used to me, they now understand me the way I am, not the way I pretend to be, social circles queries of why I am so unsocial when in limelight and loved ones still asking me about those definitions of love and belongingness which I left on my way long back. Its hard to justify me all the time, what I can say is I have been this man of the moment to be honest, whenever there is a moment where I feel I should act, I do, and I do that uncompromisingly. I am living an erratic, open and uncompromising life at this moment and I am happy about it, I feel sometimes sad when people feel sad because of my frank and sometimes to the point nature, but I can’t keep things burning inside me, I say when I need to say, and that works, trust me, at least the expectations and the inhibitions surrounding me becomes practical rather than dreamy.
“Down the memory lanes” is not therefore a write up, it’s me trying to frame my memories which I can recollect which made my life meaningful to me.
My memory is rather dull to be honest, I rarely recollect anything more than ordinary that happened during my childhood. Yes I was a really silent kid, an introvert, someone who would walk down the ramp without any notice, someone who was lost in between words, someone who wouldn’t cry but would absorb due to strange reasons still not known to me. As I grew older, I found my selves being challenged by more influential kids, kids who could talk, kids who could be brat yet could top an exam, those kids and their fascinating world of openness amazed me, I was an outlier not because I could not express but because I never wanted to express. Sober, humble, pack bags go to school and come back, was in my value system. I remember the first gift my mom gave to me was on my 18th B day, it was some parker roller pen, and I was so happy that I rounded it and showed to everyone in the big family as possible.
As I grew older, I saw a different world, from school to a college is the most important transformation stage in any guy’s life, an entry to a college opens your gaze in many a ways, you know now how much relaxed and innocent you were and how exactly cruel and opportune this world could be. The most positive people always confuse themselves in denominating the real and the surreal world, they saw the world as opportunities, I saw it as class-mass divides, they saw competition as a path to win, I saw it as a negative divide discouraging a creative and an imaginative student, they saw the education system as a way of fulfilling the parenthesis, I saw it as a blatant tool of discrimination. But I got to stand tall and trust me, I had no way to go at a point of time except for creativity and I started using creativity as a tool of success.
Tricky eh, a guy who couldn’t speak, has to speak now in front of say 5o pupils in a class, giving lectures on subjects in front of an audience was a nightmare, in 2oo7, during my B day, I remember how much nervous was I, while delivering my very first oration in a consumer behavior class in front of some 5o already bored mates. That day creativity saved me! I gave a 45 mins lecture, and the first 25 mins was a sudden bulb example! I tried to discuss how one single bulb can satisfy five different needs and viewpoints of five different customers.
When I came out, the first thing they said why are you so un noticed when you can co-relate functions so well, and there, frankly was my first understanding of how I can get involved in the crowd.
If I start discussing about all such incidents, this write up will never get complete, we all live in a world of cues and learnings, we are often vulnerable when we fail, or something that we never wanted happened with us, but we consider everything as a learning, good, bad or ugly, we learnt a lot from them and move ahead, life becomes highly enterprising and enriching. Let’s think it in this way, only the very simple men can survive the stains of life, because he lives it, the way it comes! Not expecting it to be the way he wants.

AN UNCANNY DREAM...NEO DIARIES
THE REEL WORLD:
“What are you doing Neo”! Someone said in the subconscious may be! “Just tell me which way are you going”? The Voice screamed! It’s a very shrill voice, much familier but abstract, I thought! “You really know where this path is taking you”! The Voice screamed again!
“ No, I really don’t know” I whispered! It’s a long straight road masseuse and it keeps on going”, I affirmed!
“ So what do you see in the road, my boy, rather what are you seeking” the voice whispered now.
“Everything is white Senor, everything feels like frozen around, the backdrop is just too calm to whisper, it’s a long white road and I am walking and walking and walking”, I replied.
“Did you came across love anywhere in the road, my boy, the most vulnerable feeling around”!! The voice asked!!
“I-I sir” I replied, “ But Love didn’t embrace me!” And why would be that, my boy”? The voice asked.
“Love told me, if you have to take me, you have to give me (love) in return”, I replied, after a pause, I asked love, “ Why is that I can’t have love without giving it back”! Love responded, “Coz that’s the way I justify me”! So I moved away saying,” Parochial, isn’t it, what I thought would be the most selfless feeling is actually the most self centered feeling”.
“Hmmm”! The voice uttered, “Did you met lust anywhere in the road”? “Yes My Lord”, I met Lust and though we didn’t interact, lust gave me the impression that it comes always with love in the narrow sense”.
“Hmmm, Anyone else did you met in your endless journey, my boy”, The voice asked, “Yes Sir, on the farthest south side of the road, I came across life”!!! I confirmed! “Interesting”!! the voice smiled, “ And how about the discussion with life”.
“Enriching sir” I replied “Life told me, the only way to expect Life is to be unexpected about it! It told me, it is a bitter sweet journey, but to make it more enriching and inspiring, I should accept the fact that life will be unprecedented, chaotic, awe-inspiring and full of lessons of wisdom. At the end of the conversation, life hugged me and embraced me saying to explore it rather to contemplate on it”.
“Very well than Kid, you have learned your lessons” The voice said! “ I have a question Sir, Who are you and where should I end my journey my lord”, I asked! The Voice laughed loudly at me and told, “You really didn’t get me, do you, anyways I am destiny”. I whispered back, “So what about my destiny sir”?
“Your Destiny lies in walking all the way along the Road”, the voice confirmed, “ But Sir, there seems to be no end of the Road, how long and why should I walk furthermore” I replied!
“ The Road is fate, and the journey is your destiny kid, you should walk where fate takes you, that is what you are ment to do, and Destiny lies in enjoying the journey without any questions about life, love, lust and death, the inevitable, the journey matters kid, not the dos-and do not’s wish list!!!” Screamed the voice, “Journey matters”……
THE REAL WORLD:
Back to the Real world, At 2.a.m, in a hot summer night, when you do get up by such a dream, the first thing that comes to your mind, “ Let’s open a beer and cheers to life”! However jokes apart, it’s true, no matter what happens, we should keep on walking because we don’t have any control over fate, destiny, love, life and death, what we do have in hand is a puzzle called life and we can only solve it by digging deep, exploring it not contemplating it!
