THE NIGHT WHEN EVERYONE HUGGED EACH OTHER.....

Foes or friends, winners or losers, down trodden or rich, irrespective of the class-mass divide, we all hugged each other yesterday night! There was a mob, moments after the victory, on the road, which was stopping every vehicle, and was hugging each other! It was Diwali, dussera, Eid, Christmas all at the same time in India, and people went mad! Tears came out, screams, tight postures, emotions that looked unreal but just united us by soul! India became united for the first time after 28 years of long wait, sometimes humiliated, sometimes bobbed down, sometimes paralyzed, but we pulled it off!

To say cricket is a religion in India and the biggest unity symbol is an understatement and it truly reflected yesterday from the moment MSD hit that six, we became united forgetting everything! I was just observing the emotions that carried us though and , trust me, no one better than the Indian team epitomized those emotions of a billion Indians. Moments after the victory I heard Virat Kohli proudly saying, “ Sachin Tendulkar carried the burden for 21 years and we are cherished to carry him”! Goutam Gambhir remembers , how nightmarish 2007 was for the Team and how they did for the little man, Yuvraj singh confirmed that they did it for Tendulkar!
Its not about praising the maestro but who, in this cricketing world, can be a more satisfied man than him! He showed them the way, he conquered it all and now, he became the real inspiration for a team , which technically cake walked with the world cup.

Well, the process started soon after the 2007 blemish and we have to give credit to three man who were on a mission to create the difference- Gary Kirsten with his calmness, Sachin Tendulkar, with his bat and MSD , with his cool and composed captaincy under fire!


There were brilliance in everywhere, improvements in every department and players who became consistent as a rock! Well, the finals, again reflected the professionalism and consistency more than the emotional aspects of things, 31 for 2, and game literally titled towards the Lankans, the young guns batted like panache and looked the target of 274, literally a cake walk! The stabilizer clicked, the young counterpart clicked and the captain who made a statement with his gutsy knock ensured that they wiped of, what otherwise, was the day of a brilliant century by a calm but calculative srilankan.

The win, however, opens up a new era for Indian cricket, the self-belief goes high, the credentials overwhelming and the dominance of the Asian Nations just started! Neo is too tired to write more, and whatever he would write seems to be less, but one learning lesson that came out yesterday was, “ we made a telling difference with a simple smile and silence which is the most dominant aspect of us since modern cricket re-borned and it made Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar God Yesterday night”!
